Template concepts in development. “Mirrors” describe familiar formats for your own content; these previews do not connect to Etsy, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts. Platform imports, syncing, live media and commerce depend on future supported integrations and release testing.

Private messages and shared content are encrypted for their intended recipients. Publishing something publicly is a separate, explicit choice.

For the people you choose.

Private content is encrypted for authorized recipients. Your private device identity is kept separate from your public identity and verification account.

Privacy has boundaries. Public posts are public. Recipients can keep copies. Encryption does not hide all connection metadata or protect a compromised device.

You choose the services. Hosting, public publishing and optional media services have their own roles. A private conversation and a public broadcast have different audiences.

What is Meerkat?

Meerkat is a private community app that brings encrypted conversations, shared files and customizable community spaces together. Start with a person or a small group, then make the space feel like yours.

Can I use it today?

Meerkat is in development and is not generally available. This page is an interactive product preview. Wider access will follow release testing; there is no public download or signup on this page.

Is everything on Meerkat private?

Private messages and shared content are encrypted for authorized recipients. Public publishing is separate and intentional. Your public identity and verification account stay separate from your private device identity. Public content can be read and copied by others.

Does Meerkat need the internet?

You can keep local content on your device. Sharing and catching up depend on available connections, supported devices and configured services. Nearby transport varies by platform; Meerkat does not promise universal offline delivery or an always-connected mesh.

Can I make a community look different?

Meerkat has community layouts, member pages and themes. Your personal view, your profile and the community’s shared design are different choices. The examples above illustrate design directions; editing tools and available blocks vary by build.

Will there be a subscription?

The current plan separates a one-time app unlock from optional monthly hosting. Final availability, prices and service limits will be confirmed before public release. Optional payment and media providers may have separate costs.
