Introducing Meerkat
Private conversations.
Shared worlds. Made yours.
Choose a city or click a hub to explore.
Use + / − to zoom. New nodes connect as
you get closer.
One connected world. Public ideas travel outward. Private conversations stay within the circle you choose.
Meet Meerkat
The group chat that feels like home. The small community that gets your weirdest interests. The people who show up for the work you make.
Meerkat brings those relationships into a space you can call your own. Talk privately, share the things that matter, and give your community a personality of its own.
Start with a conversationStay close
A thought, a photo, a work in progress.
Give everyday conversation a private home,
with shared files close at hand.
A shared collection for your community.
Share with your community. Keep a copy on your device.
Invite people in and give everyone a place.
Direct messages and community channels, with replies, reactions and attachments.
Shared libraries for your photos, documents and other files, with explicit import and export.
Invite-only communities, member roles and controls over who belongs in the conversation.
Make room for your world
A reading room. A creative club. A place for your work. Shape your community with pages, shared collections and themes.
A corner of the internet for sharing the process, finding inspiration, and making something together.
A shared home for creative friends, with conversation, works in progress and a library of inspiration.
These are design studies of the experience, not screenshots of a released build.
Choose how Meerkat looks on your device. A personal theme changes your view; editing a community page changes the space you share.
A world of possibilities
A shop. A stage. A feed. A whole creative world. We’re designing a family of templates that brings your content and your community together.
Explore maker shops, live studios, short-video feeds, film catalogs, podcasts, publications, courses and creative portfolios.
Turn on JavaScript to try the template previews and appearance controls.
Etsy-style storefront
A home for the things you make, the process behind them, and the people who keep coming back.
Template concepts in development. “Mirrors” describe familiar formats for your own content; these previews do not connect to Etsy, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts. Platform imports, syncing, live media and commerce depend on future supported integrations and release testing.
Change more than the color
Start with a template. Shape the identity, the layout, the content and the way your community gathers.
Your profile, your little universe
The MySpace spirit, made yours. A favorite song. A wall of videos. Your Top 8. A page that feels like someone lives here. Give your user profile as much personality as your community.
Interactive design study · Expanded profile tools planned
From everyday community life to running a business. Open a profile and try its widgets.
A regular in a few good corners.

Wallpapers, type, colors, stickers, photos, links, custom sections, and layouts. Start with a mood and keep making it yours.
Planned soundtrack, playlist, and optional sound-effect tools, plus video and media shelves. Visitors choose when to play.
A handpicked Top 8, a guestbook, and a place for the things you make together. Choose your order and the sections you want to share.
Already in the codebase: designable community member profiles, Top 8, guestbooks, stickers, and badges on mobile and web. This study previews a richer editor and media experience; it is not a released app screen. Community profiles stay within their community. A customizable public profile is separate planned work, with an explicit publishing choice.
Private by intention
Private messages and shared content are encrypted for their intended recipients. Publishing something publicly is a separate, explicit choice.
Private content is encrypted for authorized recipients. Your private device identity is kept separate from your public identity and verification account.
Privacy has boundaries. Public posts are public. Recipients can keep copies. Encryption does not hide all connection metadata or protect a compromised device.
You choose the services. Hosting, public publishing and optional media services have their own roles. A private conversation and a public broadcast have different audiences.
A little further ahead
We’re building toward communities where independent writers, filmmakers and makers can publish their work and build direct relationships with the people who support it.
Reporting, films and conversations in one community.
Personal pages and richer tools for shaping your space.
Creator memberships and shops, with clearly defined access.
In development. Creator commerce and expanded media features are not generally available. AI-assisted page building is a future direction.
Meerkat is a private community app that brings encrypted conversations, shared files and customizable community spaces together. Start with a person or a small group, then make the space feel like yours.
Meerkat is in development and is not generally available. This page is an interactive product preview. Wider access will follow release testing; there is no public download or signup on this page.
Private messages and shared content are encrypted for authorized recipients. Public publishing is separate and intentional. Your public identity and verification account stay separate from your private device identity. Public content can be read and copied by others.
You can keep local content on your device. Sharing and catching up depend on available connections, supported devices and configured services. Nearby transport varies by platform; Meerkat does not promise universal offline delivery or an always-connected mesh.
Yes. The codebase includes designable community member profiles with Top 8, guestbooks, stickers and badges. Soundtracks, richer profile media and a full public-page editor are planned. Your profile, your personal app theme and the community’s shared design are separate choices. The profile showcase above is an interactive design study.
The current plan separates a one-time app unlock from optional monthly hosting. Final availability, prices and service limits will be confirmed before public release. Optional payment and media providers may have separate costs.
