Introducing Meerkat

your people.

Private conversations.
Shared worlds. Made yours.

One connected world. Public ideas travel outward. Private conversations stay within the circle you choose.

Meet Meerkat

The best part of the internet
has always been the people.

The group chat that feels like home. The small community that gets your weirdest interests. The people who show up for the work you make.

Meerkat brings those relationships into a space you can call your own. Talk privately, share the things that matter, and give your community a personality of its own.

Start with a conversation

Find your people. Get into it.

A place for the
whole conversation.

The raid night. The project team. The people who help you make something better. Explore four different communities from the inside.

Your raid starts before the first pull.

A place for the roster, the strategy, the after-raid stories—and the friends who log in for all three.

Interactive community examples require JavaScript.

Interactive design preview. Fictional communities, conversations and presence. Voice and screen controls are local demonstrations, not live connections.

References & preview details

A channel for the context.

Switch between raid plans, project decisions and creative feedback. Open threads, react, search the sample messages and add your own.

See who’s in the room.

Explore a populated voice room, open a shared screen and try the call controls. The conversation stays close to what you’re looking at.

Keep the work close.

Open a shared document, download a call sheet or leave a note beside the project. Each community has its own people, roles and library.

Your view. Your choices.

your colours.

Your personal theme changes your view. It doesn’t change how the community looks for anyone else.

A world of possibilities

Start with a format.
Make it your own.

Shop a coordinated collection. Watch a film. Open a lesson. Explore eight original creator spaces, with content and controls you can actually try.

Change more than the color

The details make
it your place.

Start with a template. Shape the identity, the layout, the content and the way your community gathers.

Look & feel

Color palettes, light and dark modes, text size and weight, spacing, borders, corners and shadows.

Pages & layouts

A conversation-first home or a library-first space. Personal pages, galleries, link hubs, wiki pages and expressive canvas layouts.

Your community’s identity

Choose a name, an introduction and an accent. Give shared spaces a recognizable identity while keeping personal themes personal.

Content & collections

Organize channels and libraries around your work. Planned creator formats add shops, live stages, film shelves and vertical feeds.

People & permissions

Decide who joins and who helps manage the space. Private sharing and public publishing remain separate choices.

A starting point to fit

Family Space, Media Library, Club, Course Hub, Newsroom or Blank. Build further with a fan page, wiki, link hub, zine or gallery wall.

Your profile, your little universe

Bring back the personal page.

The MySpace spirit, made yours. A favorite song. A channel full of films. A circle of friends. A page that feels like someone lives here. Give your user profile as much personality as your community.

A little corner, entirely yours. Profile design concept

More than a bio.

Wallpapers, type, colors, stickers, photos, links, custom sections, and layouts. Start with a mood and keep making it yours.

Let your page have a sound.

Planned soundtrack, playlist, and optional sound-effect tools, plus video and media shelves. Visitors choose when to play.

Your people belong here.

A handpicked Top 8, a guestbook, and a place for the things you make together. Choose your order and the sections you want to share.

Already in the codebase: designable community member profiles, Top 8, guestbooks, stickers, and badges on mobile and web. This study previews a richer editor and media experience; it is not a released app screen. Community profiles stay within their community. A customizable public profile is separate planned work, with an explicit publishing choice.

For the people who make the work.

Your work.
Your people.
The next chapter.

Public films bring people in. Membership gives them a way to stay close—and help you keep going. Explore a creator’s channel, from the first free post to the notebook behind the camera.

Private by intention

Your people.
Your audience.
Your choice.

Private messages and shared content are encrypted for their intended recipients. Publishing something publicly is a separate, explicit choice.

For the people you choose.

Private content is encrypted for authorized recipients. Your private device identity is kept separate from your public identity and verification account.

Privacy has boundaries. Public posts are public. Recipients can keep copies. Encryption does not hide all connection metadata or protect a compromised device.

You choose the services. Hosting, public publishing and optional media services have their own roles. A private conversation and a public broadcast have different audiences.

A little further ahead

A home for the work
you put into the world.

We’re building toward communities where independent writers, filmmakers and makers can publish their work and build direct relationships with the people who support it.

Publish and gather

Reporting, films and conversations in one community.

Create and share

Personal pages and richer tools for shaping your space.

Support the people behind it

Creator memberships and shops, with clearly defined access.

In development. Creator commerce and expanded media features are not generally available. AI-assisted page building is a future direction.

A few things worth knowing.

What is Meerkat?

Meerkat is a private community app that brings encrypted conversations, shared files and customizable community spaces together. Start with a person or a small group, then make the space feel like yours.

Can I use it today?

Meerkat is in development and is not generally available. This page is an interactive product preview. Wider access will follow release testing; there is no public download or signup on this page.

Is everything on Meerkat private?

Private messages and shared content are encrypted for authorized recipients. Public publishing is separate and intentional. Your public identity and verification account stay separate from your private device identity. Public content can be read and copied by others.

Does Meerkat need the internet?

You can keep local content on your device. Sharing and catching up depend on available connections, supported devices and configured services. Nearby transport varies by platform; Meerkat does not promise universal offline delivery or an always-connected mesh.

Can I customize my profile as well as my community?

Yes. The codebase includes designable community member profiles with Top 8, guestbooks, stickers and badges. Soundtracks, richer profile media and a full public-page editor are planned. Your profile, your personal app theme and the community’s shared design are separate choices. The profile showcase above is an interactive design study.

Will there be a subscription?

The current plan separates a one-time app unlock from optional monthly hosting. Final availability, prices and service limits will be confirmed before public release. Optional payment and media providers may have separate costs.
